How to use the tool with your patients
No specific qualifications are required to deliver SCNAT-IP but you should be mindful that respondents may be unwell and/or distressed as a result of cancer and/or its treatment. Respondents should be given adequate time to complete the tool and offered appropriate support if issues of concern arise during completion.
Please click HERE to access a learning module that will give you a brief overview of how to use the SCNAT-IP with your Indigenous patients.
After completing the module you will be given a password to access the tool.
This online training module was developed as part of the project 'Identifying and meeting the supportive care needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with cancer: Implementation of the Supportive Cancer Needs Assessment Tool for Indigenous Persons (SCNAT-IP)'
This project is a Cancer Australia Supporting people with cancer Grant initiative, funded by the Australian Government.
